Established in 1910, the University of Queensland (UQ) is one of Australia's leading universities, with exceptional standards highlighted by a number of independent indicators and an international profile in teaching and research. UQ also offers comprehensive, world-class teaching and research facilities. UQ operates three main campuses locations, as well as maintaining teaching and research facilities in other parts of Brisbane and Queensland.

Teaching is underpinned by a dynamic research program and UQ's total research funding places it among Australia's top universities. Our academic staff is dedicated to teaching and research, which means that our lecturers are often leaders in their fields. An extensive network of services and facilities is available in and around UQ. Academic support includes the largest library in Queensland, 20 teaching museums and collections, well-equipped departmental laboratories and language laboratories and excellent computing and research facilities. Comprehensive support services are provided for the welfare of the University community.

Australia, as post-colonial society, has a healthcare system that uniquely blends public and private services in a social and cultural milieu where parallel but specifically Australian issues of geography, diversity, urban and rural population balance along with internationally prominent matters of indigenous peoples' rights, the role of nursing in healthcare, and leadership in international and global healthcare arenas.

Accommodations
There are three types of accommodations options for UQ students including on-campus colleges, off-campus private accommodation providers, and off-campus private rental. The Accommodations office provides information and support services. On-campus housing cannot be guaranteed and should be applied for immediately after being accepted into the exchange.
